Mike,
When it comes down to match time I always find myself stumbling
and questioning myself. I listen to music and I’m always
pumped to get out there, BUT... I always seem to fail when it
comes time to wrestle someone I know is ranked and people think
is better then I am.
I am determined to beat those guys. I am determined to be a state
champion this year. After your camp, any time I get tired in the
room I tell myself “I AM A STATE CHAMPION” and it
keeps me going for that extra boost I need. I would like to thank
you for coming back and putting on that camp, it has helped me
a lot.
Speaking of motivation, I have one of your quotes about 'intensity'
posted on a piece of paper in the bag I have taken to every tourney
since my sophomore year. Along with quotes by Brands, Gable and
other great wrestlers, yours is my favorite out of all them by
far. It makes me work that much harder.
I thank you once again for all your help. I love being in
touch with someone like you. It means a lot that you care for
BGM wrestling even though you’re at the D1 level now.
